Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a fast-paced 1v1, 2D bending fighter built around expressive bending, support characters, Flow movement, Energy Points, rollback netcode and cross-platform online play.

The Studio Behind It

Development is led by Gameplay Group International, a studio founded by industry veterans Victor Lugo and Philip Mayes with team members who worked on Killer Instinct and Them’s Fightin’ Herds. That pedigree points to a mechanically serious fighter rather than a casual tie-in.

Bending-Based Combat

Each fighter draws on their canon discipline — airbending mobility, waterbending zoning, earthbending defense and firebending aggression — so the four nations map naturally onto distinct fighting archetypes. Full-Avatar characters like Kyoshi and the Avatar State variants blend multiple elements.

The core resource loop uses Flow for fast movement, evasion and positioning, while Energy Points fuel enhanced special moves and cinematic Super Arts. That gives the game a simple surface for newcomers and enough resource management for competitive players.
